LAS VEGAS — Zack Novak left the NASCAR iRacing B Open Series field in his dust, hitting the jackpot to win during Tuesday’s Race Night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on RaceSpot TV and iRacing Live.

The event, round three for the B Open field, saw Taylor Hurst grab the pole but Novak take the lead on lap four, dominating the entire race en route to a stop in victory lane at the virtual 1.5-mile oval.

In all, Novak led 92 of the 100 laps for the win, which extended his points lead to 128 markers over Jimmy Mullis as Novak seeks to defend his season one championship.

“I came into tonight not really knowing what to do,” Novak said. “I knew we had a really fast car, because we did a few races last night and dominated one of them. We just put everything together really well tonight.”

With a race that only saw five cautions for 17 laps, Novak’s No. 3 machine caught everyone sleeping on the restarts and was never seriously challenged.

Eventually, the race saw a round of green flag pit stops and Novak was able to pull the lead to over three seconds before a caution came with four laps to go for a multi-car crash, involving Alex Bergeron, Mike Niel Jr. and Chandler Krizek.

That incident ended the race under the yellow flag, with Novak beating out Hurst, his Zero Gravity Racing teammate Jacob Harberts, Logan Clampitt and Blake Reynolds.

All 100 laps were led by drivers finishing in the top five, with Hurst pacing four, Clampitt leading one and Reynolds out front for three circuits.

The NASCAR B Open Series will continue its 2017 season on March 14 at Phoenix Int’l Raceway, while the next Race Night broadcast on iRacingLive and RaceSpotTV will fall on April 4, following three straight weeks of NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series coverage.
