For the first time ever, NASCAR is hitting the high seas instead of the high banks.
NASCAR and Entertainment Cruise Productions, the world leaders in live entertainment at sea, are pulling together top names in the sport — from drivers to broadcasters to NASCAR Hall of Famers — complete with authentic race cars as they create the first-ever NASCAR-themed cruise.
NASCAR: The Cruise will sail the Caribbean January 29 through February 3, 2017, launching from Miami and spending six days and five nights sailing the tropical waters.
Several of the iconic and names who are celebrity guests for the cruise gathered at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday morning to officially “kick off” the voyage, including drivers Michael Waltrip, David Ragan and Hall of Famer Donnie Allison; broadcasters Jeff Hammond, Doug Rice and Brad Gillie.
Seven-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Richard Petty, his old crew chief Dale Inman and son Kyle also got in on the fun along with Hall of Famer driver Bobby Allison.
Additional guests include 1989 Cup champion and NASCAR Hall of Fame member Rusty Wallace, legendary and multi-faceted driver Ken Schrader and Mike Wallace, as well as car owner Robert Yates and NBC Sports personality Krista Voda.
Cabin rates for the cruise start at $975 per person and include access to all events and activities along with gourmet and casual meals. Around the clock room service, port charges, taxes, and onboard gratuities are also included.
Reservations for NASCAR: The Cruise officially opened to the public on April 28.
