STATESVILLE, N.C. — Tyler Reddick was given a very special Christmas gift in recognition of his time at Brad Keselowski Racing during the team’s annual Christmas party on Friday night.
The 20-year-old Corona, California young gun — who is leaving the team to drive in the NASCAR XFINITY Series for Chip Ganassi Racing next season — was given the truck he won at Dover International Speedway with in May of 2015 by team owner Brad Keselowski.
During that race, the Lucas Oil 200, Reddick passed late-race leader Erik Jones with eight laps to go en route to his second-career Truck Series win and second win for BKR.
The truck, which Reddick affectionately nicknamed ‘Clyde’, was a multiple winner during its time in the BKR fleet.
In all, Reddick scored three victories, 25 top-fives, 40 top-10s and three poles in 63 starts over four years with the organization.
“This just blows me away,” Reddick said on Twitter of the gift. “Clyde was my favorite truck and had multiple wins with BKR. I can’t believe I get to keep it!”
Next season, Reddick will share the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro with Kyle Larson in the XFINITY ranks.
