VASC: Preston Hire Racing Unveils 2017 Livery and Announces Reindler as Co-Driver

MOUNT WAVERLEY, Victoria, Australia – Preston Hire Racing have revealed their new striking livery for the 2017 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship at the brand new Race Workshop in Mount Waverley, Victoria.

The livery was revealed by Driver Lee Holdsworth and Team Owner Charlie Schwerkolt alongside the Preston Hire Racing staff to the team’s valued sponsors and supporters in the recently renovated Race Workshop, which is located behind Schwerkolt’s Waverley Forklifts Head Office.

Holdsworth is ecstatic with the new livery, with the new feature on the color yellow ensuring the Holden Commodore will look its best on Race Day.

“It’s great to reveal the car with the team and all of our sponsors,” he said. “The yellow is seriously bright and it looks awesome! It won’t be hard to spot the Preston Hire car on track. I’m excited about the Clipsal 500 in just a few weeks after a long offseason, we’ve all worked extremely hard to come back as a much stronger force for 2017.”

Holdsworth and Team Manager Jeff Grech are entering their second year with the team and are joined by new Head Engineer Chris Stuckey.

Co-Driver Karl Reindler will also return for his second year with the team for the Enduro’s, after achieving the team’s best result yet at the Gold Coast 600 alongside Holdsworth.

Naming rights sponsors Preston Hire are joined by returning sponsors Fuchs, Toyota Forklifts, Manitou Group, Pulsar, Kenworth, Sidchrome, Zupps Mount Gravatt, Waverley Forklifts, Tomcar, High Sierra, BJ Ball Papers, Out There Branding and Bolle Eyewear.

Preston Hire Racing will additionally be joined by sponsors OnePure Natural Artesian Water, Credence Insurance Brokers and P1 Racewear in 2017.

Schwerkolt was ecstatic with the support from the Team’s partners, friends and staff, in the development of the new warehouse and at the livery reveal.

“Wow! What a launch, I can’t believe how many people we had here to come and support our new facility and team,” he said. “The car looks amazing and I think it is the sharpest-looking car for 2017. We’re so grateful for Preston Hire to be our naming rights partner and Fuchs as our gold partner and lubricants provider once again, it’s just fantastic! Today was an exciting welcome for our new sponsor OnePure, water isn’t just water as I just found out.”

“It’s been a massive six-week turnaround from an empty factory to a new state-of-the-art facility right at my head office in Mount Waverley, so really pround of the whole team at Preston Hire Racing and Waverley Forklifts. Holdsworth and Preston Hire Racing had a challenging run of injury and mechanical faults in their maiden year, and are now looking forward to racing with a year of experience as a team under their belt.

Holdsworth and the Preston Hire Racing Team will now prepare for the Clipsal 500 Adelaide on March 2 to 5, with all races to be televised LIVE on Supercars Superview.
